The GIS Laboratory is located in building A of the Institute in room No 258. The Laboratory is devoted to
carry out courses, which require utilisation of computers with GIS software. Equipment of the Laboratory was
purchased for funds granted by TEMPUS - JEP 12284-97 and JEP 12539-97.
The basic equipment of the Laboratory make 4 computers Pentium. Two computers (graphic stations SGO) are composed
as two-monitor working sites (monitors 22" and 15") and the remaining two have 17" monitors. In addition the GIS
Laboratory is equipped with digitizer Numonics AccuGried A0, plotter CadJed color Encad A0 and scanner HP ScanJet IIIC.
In the Laboratory is taught a course "Computer science II: GIS" and are completed projects for MSc and PhD theses.
