Research projects:
  1. Morphometry of the alimentary canal of vertebrates:
    - wall histometry and area sizes of the alimentary canal segments in the ontogenical development of amphibians (Anura) and small mammals of Rodentia and Insectivora orders;
    - relationship between metabolism and alimentary canal sizes in hetero- and homothermic vertebrates;
    - changes in the alimentary canal resulting from an increased demand for food during pregnancy and lactation in the Micromammalia females.
  2. Pathophysiology of selected tissues and organs of vertebrates in the light of impact of environmental factors on the organism, e.g. that of pesticides on the embryonic and larval development of no-tail amphibians as well as on the structure of the selected Micromammalia organs.
  3. Changes in the structure of the mucosa of the alimentary canal resulting from presence of intestinal parasites.
